WWE has announced Eric Bischoff as the latest inductee into their Hall of Fame. . . The former WCW president joins Molly Holly as the first two inductees into the Class of 2021. . . Announcing his induction, WWE said. For Bischoffs innovation behind the scenes and his memorable performance in front of the camera, there is no greater honor than induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. . As president of WCW, Bischoff was in charge during the 83 weeks in the late 1990s when WCW Monday Nitro beat WWE Monday Night Raw in the ratings. . . In 2002, after WCW had folded a year earlier, Bischoff shocked the wrestling world when he was unveiled as the General Manager of Raw, a role which he stayed in until 2005. . Bischoff returned to WWE in 2019 when he was announced as the Executive Director of SmackDown, a backstage creative role, with Paul Heyman taking on the same duties on Raw. . . He stayed in the role for only a few months before being replaced by Bruce Prichard. Speaking to Digital Spy about his short stint behind the scenes last December, Bischoff said. I enjoyed my time in WWE. There was nothing personal about it. It was more of a chemistry issue than it was anything else. . This years Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 6 and will honour the Class of 2020 as well as the 2021 class. . . The 2020 class includes the NWO, The Bella Twins, Batista, The British Bulldog and Jushin Thunder Liger.
